June 15, 2013 – New York City
The last US fan party took place in Los Angeles following a-ha’s final concert on American soil on May 16, 2010. It has been a long time since we got together, so we’re really glad to finally have a date for our next fan party!
I’ve been looking for a chance to organize a party in New York for a while, and when I heard that Erin Hill has a concert at Joe’s Pub on June 15, I thought it would be great timing for a-ha fans to get together.
Erin plays an a-ha cover during her set, in addition to some wonderful original songs and covers of other artists. She is also producing an a-ha cover album even as we speak, which should be ready for release in June. So just think: it’s a great way to get some live a-ha music into our party weekend!! Her concert will be from 7:00pm – 8:10pm, and the party will follow at another location (to be determined).
Before we can book a party venue and try to set up hotel discounts, we’ll need a count of those who want to attend! Please e-mail me at catherine@a-ha.us to let me know you want to join us, so we can be sure to book the right size venue. There isn’t much time to plan, so please e-mail me by April 15 at the latest!
Please note: it’s a good idea to wait to book travel or accommodations until the details have been finalized and confirmed. Depending on the interest it could be a very intimate gathering or it could be a large dance party! So stay tuned, we’ll get the details to you as soon as possible
