THIS is what I’ve been waiting for! I love Rhino Records. :)

I’ll be preordering the HH&L and SD the moment they’re available. Hopefully if enough are sold, they might do further remasters… everything up to Memorial Beach could really use it!

As for The Singles: it’s nice that it’s available in the US now, but please, please, PLEASE, couldn’t Warner and Universal come to some sort of agreement and give us a comprehensive ‘greatest hits’ release and (dare I say it) a comprehensive video collection on dvd/blu-ray?

    Anyway, exciting news! :)

I’m so thrilled these are being released! I wonder if the two extended albums will be available at stores here in the U.S. or need to be ordered online as import cds or mp3 downloads?

This is great news. I have been wanting them to release unreleased and rare things from the bands career.

Great to see they will be sold in the U.S. market too. Thank you Rhino and a-ha.

Now, I hope there will be more released down the road and hoping maybe a box set just full of everything new, old, rare, unreleased, etc..
If this is truly it after this year for the guys.
Then why not just release it all to the fans and the world.

Of course, would like to see them release another DVD too. Maybe a collection of there final farewell concert along with some other concerts thru the years. What ever did happen to the dvd they were going to release of there one concert in a NY club back in 2005?

Well, leave next week to see them in Chicago. I’ve been a fan since there first album and this will be my 2nd and last time seeing them live.
I got lucky to see them live for the 1st time in London during a vacation I took.

Nice to see some albums released in the US, and Hunting High & Low has enough b-sides to made it worth picking up.

The big question is why Universal still hasn’t released analogue or foot of the mountain at least on itunes in the US, considering the band is touring here. A little weird, right, a group that hasn’t had a CD released in the US in 17 years is selling out concerts here and their label won’t even release their albums digitally to support them?

Brilliant!!! The greed in me wants the other Warner albums given this treatment too, but this is great stuff. I hope the artwork is close to the original vinyl LP’s with extra pics etc. The tracklisting looks very good.

@NICHOLAS: Especially Scoundrel Days! The butcher job of a cover on the cd we’ve had up ’til now is a travesty of my (possibly) favourite album cover ever! :)

They’re up for preorder now – I’ve called dibs on mine! :)

I’ve sent them an email, asking if the cover art is final (i.e., if there’s any hope of Scoundrel Days getting the original LP art, instead of the standard cd art shown on the website). If they respond, I’ll come back and let you all know what they say!

Or, you could all send ‘em an email to ask the same question… strength in numbers, you know… ;)

For those in Canada, ordering these from amazon.co.uk is currently the cheapest option (as long as the CA$-GBP exchange rate stays as it is). If you buy both CDs from the UK, it works out to about CA$45 (inc. shipping). Compare this to CA$65 from Rhino in the US, and CA$70+tax from Amazon.ca!! Even if you are unlucky and get dinged by Canadian customs, it’ll still most likely end up cheaper than ordering from North America (I estimate CA$6 tax and duty, and CA$5 post office processing fee – so $56 total).

UneasyPillows, I have emailed about the Scoundrel Days cover art too and also to ask what is exclusive about their website release compared to Amazon, Play etc.

I have only received a reply saying that they will deal with my request. Must be a touch question.

I wish they would use scaled down covers from the original LP’s. When Pet Shop Boys released the remastered ‘Please’ cd the scale was corrected.

    Hey, Nicholas!

Rhino hasn’t replied to me, but I see that Amazon.ca now has art up for the two covers, where they hadn’t, before. I think you’ll be pleased:

    https://www.amazon.ca/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dpopular&field-keywords=a-ha+deluxe&x=0&y=0

If it’s true, that’s good news for album-art lovers like you and me! And yes, I’m wondering just how ‘exclusive’ this release is, myself. ;)

I am not impressed that Rhino cannot reply to emails. I wish someone could clarify what is exclusive about their June release. I presume that Play and Amazon are selling exactly the same product in July.
