a-ha receive ‘Pioneer of Pop’ award

‘Pioneer of Pop’

a-ha was chosen by SWR3 as the “Pioneer of Pop” for this year’s ‘New Pop Festival’ which took place yesterday in Baden-Baden, Germany.

The band were interviewed before the award presentation, and you can see a clip of the interview and find out all about a brand new music genre called ‘pof’ by watching here. Remember, you heard about it from a-ha and SWR3 first!

After receiving the award, Magne said, “Thank you very much. Every band needs inspiration. We do as well, we get inspired when people like what we do, so thank you very much for giving us the opportunity. We’ve enjoyed playing for you over the years and it’s been great. Thank you very much everyone.”

The concert
