Album review contest update
The fan album review contest is now closed! We want to thank everyone who took the time to write up a review of their favorite a-ha album. As always, when asked for contributions a-ha fans have really come through!
Which album was reviewed the most? The overwhelming favorite was Scoundrel Days (46), followed by Hunting High and Low (28).
We received over 200 album reviews over the past week. Some reviews were impersonal and focused on the music itself, while other reviews were more about how the music has formed a part of people’s lives. Every one of the reviews was thoughtful and a pleasure to read. We plan to make a selection of reviews available on the site in the coming weeks so that everyone can enjoy them.

Looking forward to reading all the reviews and opinions–I did a piece on Scoundrel Days too which I see was the most popular as it had the biggest impact on me in my ‘younger days’!!!:P

Thank you so much for allowing us fans to participate in the final 12 months of a-ha. By contributing a review of an album, I think I can safely say that, we fans will have given every drop of love and appreciation.
For me, after 25 years of respect and loyality, this whole process has been a journey into my life as has been.
To be an a-ha fan is a treasure and a joy. Picking an album to review was a difficult decision. Each hold such tremendous memories and pleasure that to single one out was a hard choice.
To the ones I left out, let it be known that I have enjoyed and played to death, every single one.
From the moment Hunting High and Low burst onto the scene to the final Foot of the Mountain, who would have thought that one day we would get a chance to stand up and speak loud and proud to Morten, Magne and Paul.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being such generous and intelligent musicians. You have graced everybodies lives.
I look forward to seeing you live for the final time.
The fans in South America have set a precedence for showing you guys the happiness and the joy your music has blessed us all with. I look forward with sadness and joy to the day I will be stood in Newcastle – loud, proud, singing, shouting, dancing, crying and above all 100% always an a-ha fan x
