Brasilia – Time to wave goodbye

Tuesday is travel day for band and crew from Belo Horizonte to Brasilia, a flight of just over an hour gets everyone into Brazil’s capital. Time to soak up the sun (don’t forget your factor 30 though!) and go for a dip in the pool or some sightseeing.
The venue resembles the shape of a UFO with a Brazilian food & drink party taking place hours before the actual show starts. Unofficial merchandise in the form of a-ha headbands are being sold in dozens. Due to demand, the show was transferred to the bigger ‘Ginasio Nilson Nelson’ – a great venue for another Brazilian party.
Since the first Brazilian show in Bauru, the video & light show has evolved and especially the arrangements to ‘Analogue’ and ‘Swing Of Things’ are a real piece of art.
Tonight’s concert is affected by Morten’s throat infection which forces the band to drop ‘You Are The One’, ‘Early Morning’ and ‘Train Of Thought’ from the set list. However Brasilia’s audience happily helps Morten out singing whole parts of the songs including an extra special extended version of ‘Hunting High And Low’.
Brazil – it’s been a privilege to be part of the last couple of days, being witness to some of the best a-ha audiences and concerts we’ve ever come across.

In Fortaleza we’re very anxious about the show. This concert will stop the city in this Sartuday. I want to know if is it possible to play Lifelines and Living a Boy’s Adventure Tale. Thanks!

Guys, i´m from Rio, but now i live in Brasilia and must say, even i hand´t the oportunity (and lucky!) to see u in Rio, I was in Brasilia´s concert and must say: U ARE THE ONE!
Everything perfect (poor Morten we love u and your voice even when u are sick, don´t worry! Thanks for try). Mags (u speak portuguese man!) and Paul, u are always perfect, couldn´t be better!
We are sad to know that we will miss u, but thanks to give us the best time of our lives. U made some dreams come true last night… Believe.

This night was magic and very special to me. A-HA is the soundtrack of my life since i was 16 yeras old. In their first time in Brasilia in 1991, i was there too! I can still recall the day I bought Scoundrel Days and how I couldn’t stop listening to it! The music was so cool and the pictures as well. ….I was there last Tuesday (Brasilia). It was actually the third gig I went to. I was also at Maracana – Rock in Rio (1991) and in Goiania February – 1991, where I couldn’t believe my eyes cos I was really close to the stage. Loved it. Well, I’ll be waiting for the fourth gig… you bet =)

I don’t understand why they would drop those three particular songs because of Morten’s throat infection. Of the three “You Are the One” it’s the only one I can think of having an specially high note.

Hi everyone!!! After nineteen years, since I became a fan of this wonderful band, I’ve tried to meet A-ha… And I got it!!!! I’ve met Morten and Mags in Rio, the city where my brother lives. They’re really handsome!!! It was a pitty that they were wearing sunglasses, so I couldn’t see their eyes. And here in Brasilia, where I live, I’ve met Mags and Pal. This time I could see Mags beautiful eyes!!! They’re all so kind with us, their fans… It couldn’t be better!!! In Rio, my husband recorded a video where Morten paciently takes pictures with his fans. Since Morten was hurry to go to the place of the show and I didn’t mean to border him, I let him go… My last chance with my idol… So sad… But I’ve got a picture with him, 10 minutes before, wich I will share here. Love all of you!!!! The shows in Rio and Brasilia were great!!! A-ha was so relaxed, confortable… Thanks A-ha and A-ha staff!!!

Guys, because he had an article about the show reef? The show was wonderful, wonderful gesture was also the group not to cancel it, even Morten with his throat being sick. It was touching to see how he was upset at not being able to sing normally and be moved by the support of all who were there. was without doubt the best show in Brazil, as a show of support right now everything is normal, but hold the audience and interact with it and do it to be moved even with the bad voice is another story, there is perceived competence and professionalism of the group. And the voice of Morten, even husky is very nice!!
What about writen some things about concert in Fortaleza?
It was the last concert in Brazil. It was the real moment to wave goodbye and do feel that there´s never a foverer thing, except our love to A-ha.

I was expecting all my chips in this show, i cry everytime I see they singing. But this time, I really know that Morten had made a huge effort to make us happy, but I went back home crying and unhappy, cos I thought that was the last time I would see them together and I was really disappointed. (crying now)All I´ve expected was that moment and couldn´t listen the voice and the songs I love more than my hole life was cruel. I wish I can have another chance to see them sing again, but, unfortunatelly I don´t have money enought to go to Europe or whatever… to get their show perfectly. I understood their situation as well, but my heart, went out in pieces, tears rolling down, and my husband couldnt understand my unhappyness… Oh God! Bless me one more time with their show, for real, or I´ll die missing it. I´m 33 yo, I´ve met them when I was 8 and since that time I´ve learned english to understand their lyrics, I used to dance all their songs, buy all their cds. And one thing I dont regret… I know all their lyrics and I´ll love them forever, even if I have this last show in Brasilia in my mind… Unfortunatelly I don´t have money to go to Norway to see their show in person… and worst, my husband is saying that I´m wasting my time writing all this cos it won´t change anything, things will be the same… Nooooooooooooooo things can´t be the same all the time. Why we agree about it? Thah´s my comment, I´m really sorry to don´t be able to go to their show in perfect state of healthy and mind… I would be gratefull forever. Love you Morten, Pal, and Mags… take care and have joy and success in your new carreer. I´ll miss u soooooooooooooooooooooo much.
Please, don´t think I´m blamming them, cos I saw Morten trying to sing with a megaphone, he made his best, as all crew. But I have their last show in Brasilia 1992 in mind and the DVD at Vallhall when they´ve decided to come back together…. I want that for me also… cos I know it will be the last time. Please come back to another show in Brasilia?????
