Catching up with Morten and Magne
There is quite a lot going on with Morten and Magne’s solo projects these days, so we’re going to attempt to catch up on the main news all in one post!
New Morten Harket Tour Dates
Six concerts have been added to Morten’s 2012 tour schedule:

‘Dance for Daddy’ documentary
The Norwegian television network NRK2 showed a very moving and personal documentary about Magne called ‘Dance For Daddy – a portrait of Magne Furuholmen’, which was shown on Monday night on Nasjonalgalleriet.
The program is available to view on the NRK site for one month here. Someone has also uploaded the program to YouTube in two parts: Part I | Part II
‘Under stor press’ exhibition in Helsingborg, Sweden
Magne’s previously unseen ‘Futura Plus’ works are represented in a group exhibition taking place at Dunkers Kulturhus in Helsingborg, Sweden. The exhibition opens on November 10 and runs through August 5, 2012. Over 800 works from 80 artists are included in the exhibition.
There was a special preview of the exhibition today for members of the press. Magne was present, along with Kjell Nupen, Ørnulf Opdahl and Queen Sonja of Norway. You can see pictures of some of the works in Dagbladet.
‘ECHO’ at Stolper + Friends
Magne has a new exhibition planned for Stolper + Friends gallery in Oslo, which opens on November 26 and runs through January 15, 2012. According to a message from the gallery on Twitter, “expect stunning new works on canvas and paper”.

I watched the documentary called : “Dance for Daddy”
There is so much emotion in it. I was deeply moved even though I do not understand a single word, but your eyes and the sound of your voice tell everything about how you feel since the loss of your Dad.
What I felt, is that you would have loved that your Dad see you grew up, give you his love, encourage you, give you advices when needed, become father-in-law, become grandfather, give you his opinion on your work, and all this among so many other things…
Thank You Magne for sharing and showing such personal stuff, such as pictures, videos, such as The Suitcase where is “lying” your Dad’s saxophone (which copper is crushed).
It seems to me that this crushed copper represents your Dad’s stolen life, represents your forever hurted life since May 2nd 1969, this saxophone represents a kind of link between your Dad and yourself. My heart jumped when You opened the suitcase. The saxophone took my breath away. (I, myself, lost my father in 2004, he loved copper instruments, and myself I love saxophones).
That’s why your words in your songs are so heartfelt.
Magne, how strange to me to see You smoking…
I wish You all the best, both in your private and in your professional life.

saw you here in LOS Angeles, greatest day of my life really.. it was over way toooo soooon. went home elated and also sad it was over … but you left us hearing all the very old songs..which I love, but I also have alllll the other music that I was hoping to hear at that concert but didnt.. kinda heartbreaking… pray 4 yr safety EVERYDAY, hope for your return before I DIE!!!! WOULD LOVE TO HEAR THE MUSIC YOU PLAY ALL OVER EUROPE. ALOT OF FANS HERE NEVER HEARD IT, WHEN I PLAY IT THEY ALL SAY.. THOSE SONGS ARE FANTASTIC!!! WHO IS IT… AMAZING….
