DVD Preview Party
Last week, a-ha.com held an official DVD preview party in Berlin, Germany. Over 130 fans from Germany, France, Italy, Holland, Switzerland, Austria, United Kindgom, United States, Hungary and Russia were there to watch an exclusive full screening of the DVD one week before its commercial release. However before the screening began, party guests were surprised by a visit from Morten Harket, who arrived around 8:45pm at Goldapfel Cafe. Morten stayed at the party for about 30 minutes, and took the time to speak with many of the guests, sign autographs and pose for pictures.
When Morten left, everyone took their seats and soon the DVD screening began. We had two floors to use: the basement was set up with comfy couches and chairs for viewing the DVD, which were moved afterwards to make space to dance; and the upstairs was the bar/cafe area where people sat at tables and were able to order food and drinks. The atmosphere was different on each floor – in the basement people were intent on the screen and not talking much, and upstairs people were milling around, talking a lot, and some clapping and dancing went on towards the end of the concert. Still, overall the mood was one of nostalgia and celebration. When the DVD concluded, the dancefloor became crowded and the dance mixes kept people on their feet until well after 3:00am!
In addition to the DVD screening, there was a prize raffle. Party guests could purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a-ha merchandise, a signed copy of The Swing of Things, a brand new ‘Summer Moved On (Live)’ CD single, and copies of the Oslo party DVD. All of the money collected through the raffle ticket sale was donated to the Red Cross to assist their efforts in Japan, and a-ha matched this donation as well. Thank you to everyone who gave generously!
Party Photos and Video
There is a set of party photos on Flickr. There is also a video clip of Morten’s visit to the party on YouTube.

With Love Iris
what a great night. I was there. Nice surprise to see Morten. Unbelievable. Thanks
My copy of the DVD arrived on Saturday already
♥ ♥ ♥
Received my copy of the CD+DVD last Friday. Cried my eyes out while watching the documentary…
Great DVD, great concert, great guys!
As I said before: I will never get over you.
I have pre-ordered mine from Amazon.ca in Canada!! Can’t wait to receive it.
Good for those who might attend the event. I here of Brazil, anxious wait for the availability of the CD + DVD.
I just watched the DVD and I think it’s a shame!
90% of the concert is December 3 and not 4
I only saw 3 songs, 4 December: the swing, butterfly, crying
And the bonus is ridiculous … 15 minutes from fans who say thank you: great!!
pfffff I’m really disappointed …
Let’s enjoy a-ha again. That’s no way: they will never end.
It was a unbelievable night – Morten was very brave to come and he was very patient with the excited fans. tusen takk to him and also thanks a lot to the organization team for all: the dvd preview, the music, the raffle for japan. hope to see you soon again!
This is it. Finaly we came to the end and it seems, that this was the last shipment I will get with a CD or DVD from a-Ha.
The DVD is great and I’m happy that I have been there at the last concert at 04.12.2010 in Oslo; I was a part of it.
But now? Never ever? To miss someting after 25 years is not that easy. But hey, they made everything korrekt. Great music, many concert, endingn on a high note, one of the best cd’s at the end, demo-songs for hunting high and low and scoundrel days, a best of and here the live cd’s and the dvd. what else?…………
There is nothing else to say (like the german girl-group on the dvd):
Thank you for the soundtrack of our lives!!!!
Thank you, take care and I wish you all the best.
Peace
Marco, Switzerland

THOUSAND KISSSSSSSSSSES!!!…
i need to buy my DVD too
When will the NTSC version be released?
Japanese fans are going crazy…!
Gosh! Why here in Brazil we have to wait so long to get the DVD? It is depressing!
I just want to know Why weren’t the CDs and Blu-ray released in Brazil yet?
I must say that a lot of Brazilian fans are very angry because we’re responsible for lots of crowded shows and a world Guiness record, we always received the band here with attention and love, and countries that we even haven’t heard about already have their names in the list of releases while Brazil is out.
I’m very disappointed, and I’m sure A-ha doesn’t know it’s happening.
I want my CDs and Blu-ray, but I’m not going to import them, I want them released in Brazil.
I also finally got my Deluxe Edition here in Latvia and now enjoy it!!!;)Yeah!!!!!!
Thank you my dear a-ha about this experience and all the positive emotions, which I already felt in a live concert in Riga!!! I love you and I’m missing you!!!
The sound is simply fantastic!!!
Morten, Pol, Magne – you’re the best, I will never get over you and I very much hope you will ever meet;)
Forever yours
Luize
Exelente dvd adorei

this is just to write about the newest twitter news – that’s great to change the music of the launch music player -tusen takk! whenever you can expand it – please do it! the cover of depeche mode “a question of lust” is unbelievable – i like it so much.
Does anyone know if there are issues playing the DVD on a North American DVD player? I notice it’s released in the UK and I believe the formats are different. Thanks!
The DVD in the Deluxe Edition I got in the US (listed as an import) is in NTSC format and it has serious production problems (it’s missing all the bonus features, it freezes). The Blu-Ray version has gotten rave reviews in North America. NTSC format SHOULD play in North American DVD players–but something is seriously wrong with these DVDs. Better to stick with the Blu-Ray if you can. I’ve already had 2 different Deluxe Editions–and both had the same NTSC DVD issues. Still waiting to hear back from Universal about these problems. Anyone else have an answer?
I WAS SAVING WATCHING THE DVD OF THE LAST SHOW FOR 16 DAYS SO THE 29TH OF MAY WAS D DAY! The dvd is a solid representation of their hits and The audio and video quality is excellent
*It captured one of music’s legendary trio at their best and showed just what wonderful singer Morten Harket is and how perfectly they fit together!!!*
