We are looking forward to welcoming fans from around the world this weekend at the fan convention and party!

And we have some exciting news: the final two guest speakers for the fan convention are Even Ormestad (tour bass player) & Tonje Waaktaar Gamst (Paul’s sister)!

April 30 Agenda

Fan Convention

Time: 14.00 – 17.00
Location: Samfunnssalen, Arbeidersamfunnets plass 1 Oslo 0181

Guest Speakers: Viggo Bondi, Øystein Jevanord, Anneli Drecker, Even Ormestad and Tonje Waaktaar Gamst

Exclusive Music Video Premiere: Waaktaar featuring Zoe Gnecco, ‘Beautiful Burnout’

Additional Activities: Fan authors Larissa Bendel and Greg Lansdowne will sell and sign their books; Red Cross charity raffle with exclusive prizes (see below); and more.

Doors will open at 14.00 and guests will trade their ticket for a wristband which will give them access to both the fan convention and the fan party after the concert that night.

The program will begin at 14.30 and go until 17.00. We have heard from some fans who will not arrive in Oslo until after the program begins, and we want to reassure everyone that you are welcome to join the event when you are able to 🙂

If you must arrive after 14.30 for any reason, there will be someone at the door to collect your ticket and give you a wristband; however we ask that you enter as quietly as possible so as not to disturb the speakers or other convention guests.

Please note that tickets will NOT be on sale at the door for either the fan convention or the fan party. Be sure to purchase your tickets in advance through Billettservice.

Fan Party

Time: 23.00 – 2.30

Fan party at Samfunnssalen, with a 100% a-ha music playlist, prize giveaways and a great evening celebrating a-ha’s legacy among kindred spirits from around the world 🙂

Red Cross Charity Raffle

It has become a tradition to hold a charity raffle to benefit the Red Cross during international fan conventions. Over the years, through the generosity of the band and the fans, we have donated thousands of kroner to the Red Cross. 100% of the money collected during the raffle is donated directly to this great cause.

This year, Gemma is making another batch of a-ha themed cookies to sell for charity. All the proceeds from the cookie sale will go to the Red Cross collection.

Here are the cookies Gemma made for the 2014 fan weekend:

Book signings

We have two fan authors participating in the fan convention this year, Dr. Larissa Bendel and Greg Lansdowne. Both authors will have copies of their books on sale during the fan events on April 30:

* a-ha Moments, by Dr. Larissa Bendel
* Living a Fan’s Adventure Tale: a-ha through the eyes of the beholders, by Greg Lansdowne

To ensure that they have enough copies of their books on hand for interested fans, Larissa and Greg suggest that you contact them directly to indicate your interest ahead of time. You can reach Larissa at a-ha-Effekte@t-online.de and Greg on Twitter via @aha_book.
