Yesterday, Apple launched its new music streaming service, Apple Music. Norwegian producer Kygo is collaborating with Apple to help launch the service. In addition to being featured on the Apple Music web site, he will be involved in an outdoor promotional campaign, as well as video content and a track release on the platform.
We’re excited to share the news that Kygo is working with a-ha on a remake of ‘Take On Me’, which will be available via the Apple Music streaming service soon. According to an article in Dagbladet, Magne says that in this version, Kygo has removed the iconic keyboard riff, and added a new one. “It’s pretty ballsy of him. He has made a quite different version,” he says.
Kygo: “I am truly excited about having the opportunity to work with with a-ha and Apple to make this collaboration happen.”
We’ll post more information about the release as it becomes available.
