Were you there?
Please share your memories of this concert in the comments! Links to photos and videos are welcome.
The atmosphere @ Sheffield Arena felt more subdued than Nottingham, but nonetheless this was my last ever gig, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating with my banner from the naughty corner over on Magne’s side. I THINK Morten really liked it when he was waving his goodbyes at the end…. Some crazy woman fainted
and stole the show *TUT* Just kidding Sally! X Magne said they’d not had a fainting since the 80s… luckily she was OK
We were all a bit worried there for a while!
The day my 30th birthday wish finally came true in Sheffield, as we were fortunate enough to finally have photos taken with Morten!! I feel so very very grateful to Morten for taking the trouble to do that, as I know you were short on time, etc.. so tusen takk x

Glad to have been able to offer some hugs, and finally bestow a copy of the self-published comic that I made for my degree show – Happy Retirement guys, love from us all X
You were amazing, thank you so much for coming to Sheffield one last time and I can’t believe you played Move To Memphis which is my favorite a-ha song ever
I am writing up a review for the music site I work for and just reliving it all again. I am so sad this is it tho – you have so much talent. Good luck and thank you x
I fell in love with a-ha when I was 11 and first heard Take on Me. 24 years later they have reminded me why I fell in love all those years ago. I loved Tuesday night – a brilliant performance thanks!
what a enjoyable night mortens voice was amazing it’s such a shame this is the last tour ever.this group will be shurely missed thanks for the memmories
I came all the way from Australia for this gig and I didn’t get a pic
Happy for you really lol. But if you read this guys, maybe you could send me a signed photo? Well you don’t get if you don’t ask do you! lol
It was a fabulous show just like the rest of them, but I agree about it being a little more subdued than the others. Manchester had an awesome atmosphere – my hotel was better there too! (don’t stay in an ETAP hotel if you come to the UK again!)
One thing that was better about this show is that I was right at the front – that made it all worthwhile for me.
Good bless you in whatever you do next guys. I will be on the lookout for your work xxx
what a fantastic night. Row front made it even extra special. Took my sister who was never really in fan from the start due to big sis liking a-ha. Every thing was excellent and we had a fab night she knew more songs than she made out and really enjoyed it. Morten’s soaring vocals. Mags as funny as normal. Paul a master on the guitar. They get better and better with each concert. Why do they have to end it now
And, yes there was a fainter she was two along from me. Hope she is ok now and did not do the same at Cardiff??
Roll on Friday, Oslo here we come even with the
-14 temp’s
I was there also to end my personal twenty five year journey with a-ha. I’m married with two young boys now who have also grown up with the songs. Despite enjoying a varied taste in music from Slipknot, Depeche Mode to the Arctics, a-ha have always been my number one’s. Thank you very much for the music, the gig’s over the years, the memories and for being excellent role models for me throughout my life. Thank you one again, we will miss you.
I couldn’t believe it when I found out they were coming to Sheffield. I’ve been wanting to see them for years, ever since “Minor Earth Major Sky” album. I’m so glad I managed to get tickets (I only found out a few weeks before) and even though we were right near back the concert was amazing. My friend new some of their songs and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was only 7 years old when they had their first hit with “Take on me”, but their music has never dated and their recent material is as good in it’s own right. Pal is an excellent song-writer and guitarist. Morten can hold those notes live (and I was very impressed). Magnes is a comedian and kept audience entertained. I was just disappointed he didn’t encourage our side of audience to clap/sing (think he forgot us). It was a shame we couldn’t stand up and dance until the last song (as our side of the audience was a bit miserable and some girls had to move down to barriers to dance as some people objected). The best concert I’ve been to and I’m so sorry I won’t be able to see you again. Bet tonights final concert in Oslo will be fantastic and wish I was there. Have a great time all who are going and all the best to a-ha for the future.
I can remember the day I first saw the ‘Take on me’ video on Saturday morning TV, 25 years ago!!! and then borrowing a copy of ‘Hunting High and Low’ from a friend at school. You left your best to near last though, ‘Foot of the mountain’, although ‘Velvet’ isn’t far behind. Both superb! I finally got to see you guys in Sheffield in November, and I was blown away. It was well worth the wait. Good luck guys!!
This was my second gig, I travelled up and stayed with a friend (Brighton, where I live was my first, and I was at the last UK gig at Wembley Arena). Sadly I had to leave to get a tram back to hers which meant I couldn’t stay to see if I could meet the band
(But it was SO COLD… my feet went numb). But I agree this was a different atmosphere to the others I went to. I can’t really describe it, it was just a bit… odd. No reflection on our lovely boys, though, who were excellent as always.
We will miss you. Love always xxx
PS If ever you, as individuals, want to come to Brighton, I can recommend a great place to get coffee
ok this is a very late comment. I’m also very late in
deciding that I’m a fan- the farewell tour. I ask you! I like
things a bit rocky but I was impressed happy to be there and
unexpectedly sad at the end. I was sat nearest to Mags – and isn’t
he charming – but thank you to all the band especially for
Manhatten Skyline. It reminds me of when… aha provided the sound
track to a good part of my life. Good luck to you all. love Manda
