BRILLIANT!!!! I waited 25 years to see Aha (only 10 when they started) and they were awesome. The sound was just amazing, the band were on top form and i am now hoarse from singing along. Highlights were Living Daylights – personal fav as i am a Bond!!
Just wish i had another chance to see them again. Shame they are leaving the scene.
Good luck guys with whatever your future holds, thank you for coming to Bournemouth!
First time I have been to see a-ha have always loved the band through their time, but I have to say last night was one of the best concerts I have ever seen a-ha were amazing thank you for the 25 years you have given us, thank you for a night I will NEVER forget.
good luck to you a-ha for the future.
Scott
I first saw a-ha live at the bic on the stay on these roads tour sitting in the balconies with my best friend and they were merely dots on stage, last year at the O2 in London,a little closer.last night, same best buddy this time 5 rows from the front nearest pal, wow what a view!!! fantastic vocals as always Morten and a night to remember. My two babies came too they love A-ha. Thank you for playing Stay on these roads a fave of ours, brought back so many memories and my little girls favourite Forever not yours (she knows all the words to it)thank you for all your music and the memories. Good luck for the future Pal Magne and Morten. We’ll always love you!!!
A-ha you were awesome! I’ve waited to see you live in the UK for 18 years and you did not disappoint in any way. Morten, your voice is as amazing live as on CD and Mags did a fab job with the crowd! You really work well together on stage and have a special chemistry together so rare nowadays. Paul has written amazing songs that seem to grow even better over the years.
The real highlight for me was singing along to ‘Hunting High and Low’, my favourite song, with Morten.
You’ll be sorely missed, but definitely deserve a well earned retirement. Your music lives on every time we play your songs and that’s a kind of immortality.
Thank you for lightening our lives. Enjoy yours!
As a follower of 25 years, I have seen A-ha on numerous occasions. The BIC gig was as good as any I have been to before. The musicianship was exceptional, the vocals superb (is Morten really 50 ?) and the visuals outstanding. I cannot believe how many people managed to stay sat in their seats, during a rousing and sensational set. Personally my wife and I danced the whole time. My one hope is that in a few years time the guys miss the buzz of touring and treat their passionate fans to a reprise, or at the very least get together and record again….parting is such sweet sorrow ! ”now I must wave goodbye, wave goodbye…”
I was lucky enough to be in the front row last night and had an amazing time. I’ve gown up with the band and seen them live a couple of times before, but this was the best yet. It’s sad that we’ll never get the chance to see you again, but this was a fantastic way to say farewell. Thank you for the last 25 years, you’ll be missed x
Amazing show – my last ever a-ha concert (and third in a week!). Here are a few of my photos.

A fantastic night – been a fan for 25 years, and Morten’s voice is like a fine wine – it improves with age. Can’t believe they are gone! It feels like a divorce after so many years. Great music, great visuals, great concert – I’ll cherish my cds and hope that the guys decide to hit the road again some time. I’ll be first in the queue! All the best for the future whatever you decide to do – God bless xxx
Drove home from Bournmouth on such a high, singing along to A-ha – hardly believing that I had finally seen the band I have loved for 25 years! What a FANTASTIC concert, thank you soooooo much. I was ill when I went to the RAH and stood in the balcony where the sound quality was terrible. The Bournmouth concert certainly made up for all that disappointment. The ‘boys’ were magic – thanks too Mags for taking the time to stop for us outside – made waiting in the freezing cold for an hour well worth it. Wish you all peace and happiness for the future – memories of last night will be with me forever. x
What an amazing evening! I was in the second row and loved every second. Thank you to Mags for coming out in the cold and signing my tickets. I’ve been to 3 concerts on this tour, and this one was the best. Thank you guys! xx
This was my 8th a-ha concert. The first was in Bournemouth, as was the last so seemed right. This was one of the best. Sound quality, musicianship, Morten remembered most of the lyrics! The boys were great, really great. I properly cried at the end! I would love just once to have seen them to speak to but at 45 felt a bit stupid standing in the cold whimpering! Love a-ha to death and always will! Bye xxx
This was my second concert on the final tour, the first being Birmingham. The atmosphere at the BIC was definitely more electric, and the band seemed to be more responsive to the audience (not that they had much choice but to respond when someone jumped onto the stage near the end and threw their arms around Morten!). A fantastic concert, and I’m glad to read that I wasn’t the only one to become a bit of an emotional wreck at the end! Enjoy a well-deserved break Morten, Magne and Pal. You’ve got a fan for life in me. xxx
The final uk gig and my favourite because I was on the front row, right by Mags, and consequently had a great view of Morten playing the snare drum! I thought the experience would not top Heaven or the Albert Hall, but it did, though all three gigs were unique and very special. Heaven being such an intimate gig and then 2 days later to witness Hunting High & Low and Scoundrel Days in their entirely backed by the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, amazing (Morten seemed to forget his words on occasion and of course we helped him out, made me realise I had probably sung some of those tracks more than he has over the last 25 years!)
I was too young to see them when they first toured in the 80’s but have more than made up for it since 2005, I am just sorry that I won’t be able to see them again. Their music has been the back drop to my life..Thank you so much, I will miss the gigs, but at least we still have the music..xx
Mmm, yes, well that will have been me LucyB is referring to, although it wasn’t quite like that (or was it?! it was all a bit of a blur really coz I was on such an adrenaline high) Was in 7th heaven when he hugged me (sigh) Thanks Morten for being so cool about it all. Hope you liked the paintings. Awesome concert, just loved every minute and still not got my voice back yet from too much singing! Only got a ticket at 7.30pm and just jumped in the car and drove like the clappers to arrive in time for the start of Swing of Things. Best concert out of the 3 I attended (also did B’ham and Notts, where I had a nice chat with Paul whilst he was signing autographs) Fantastic energy from stage and audience. I flew all the way back from Hong Kong to see A-Ha perform for the last time and it was so worth it!! Now back in Honkie, reliving the dream and wishing I could be there in Oslo. Thanks Morten, Mags and Paul for giving us so much pleasure and really speaking to us through your incredible music. Hope to see you again sometime! Gailxxx
I cannot forget that night. I waited 25 years to see a-ha and spent nine months telling everyone that crossed my path that I was going and it was superb. All the things in life that we grow out of as we grow up but my love for a-ha was the one thing that I did not discard. I now feel such a loss that I will never get that opportunity again. Thanks for the last 25 years guys. I really miss you.
Met my Norwegian husband the same year A-Ha came over to England. Have had a soft spot for them since then and even travelled back from Norway to England on the same plane one summer. We went to the BIC last Friday and I’m still talking about it. They were simply brilliant and made me wish I’d seem them live many times before. Really sad to see them bow out – but what a night!
I have waited so long to stand so close to morten harket and gaze into those gorgeous eyes! As soon as they struck up the first chords of the sun always shines on tv, the teenage hormones kicked back in and i ran to the front and thats where i stayed for the whole concert, leaving my husband in his seat:)
What a fantastic night it was, they sound brlliant live and i’ll never forget it xxx
One of the best such events I’ve ever attended and definitely the best of many that I’ve seen at the BIC. Exhilarating to see them play a storming set but also very sad to know it was the last time.
Pity “Riding the Crest” and “I Call Your Name” are missing from the set list (above) but with such a large pool of excellent songs to draw from there were bound to be favourites that could not be included.
Privileged to be just 5 rows back – took some good photos and video which I plan to post here.
All credit to the girl who ran onstage – Mags’ reaction and comment was priceless !
Hoping they re-form in the near future (they wouldn’t be the first band to do so !) If so, will be at the front of the queue for tickets !
Wow this concert was just excellent it was one of the best nights of my life and it was lots of fun. I also remember going to see them last year on their “Foot of the Mountain” Tour in Birmingham at the NIA. It was no where near as good as this one though. I don’t even have a favourite song of the night they were all performed so well. Well done Morten, Mags and Paul for putting on a great performance. I’ll never forget it. I am now however really annoyed that it is over now, if only I could see it again.

I went to this concert with my husband, 13 year old son and cousin. We were 3 rows from the front. What a great night. I can’t believe that I will never see you all perform together again!!!! Good luck for all your solo efforts.XXXXXX
