Unfortunately me and my husband were meant to be flying out to Oslo today for 2 nights to see the concert on Thursday 2 December with standing tickets but due to the severe weather here in Newcastle we were unable to go. Luckily we could cancel our hotel booking this morning without any charge and hopefully will get a refund on our train tickets we had already pre-booked from the airport to Oslo Central station and back. We are so gutted. We cannot believe that we had bought our concert tickets last November 2009 and booked our hotel in January and then to have cancel it all today after waiting so long and it was a early birthday treat for my husband’s 40th! Anyway, at least we saw A-ha only 2 weeks ago in Newcastle and also at rhe Royal Albert Hall in October. When looking at the setlist for last night’s concert at the Spektrum it is just the same as what was at the last part of the UK tour and we thought that it may have been a little bit different and a few extra songs seeing as it is the final concerts. Anyway, seeing as we cannot go now and are sitting at home we will be waiting with excitement for the release of the DVD of the final concert! Best wishes to A-ha and also to the fans who manage to get to see the final concerts!

Sadly, I’m not able to make it to any of a-ha’s final concerts, but can’t wait to get the DVD of there last one. Hope they make it available for there fans in U.S.A. I hope they include a lot of extra’s in it like they had in there first DVD release.

Still I enjoy coming to see what the set list was that they performed during there final tour and I’m surprised a little at the list.

I felt that with these final shows in their home of Norway that they would really go all out.
I can understand how Morten’s voice might not be able to perform for long shows like when they were younger, but thought they might not leave much behind.

I thought they might surprise us all with Pal singing Sycamore Leaves live again and maybe even have him sing Velvet since it was a Savoy sing first before an a-ha song.

Then maybe have Mags perform the song The Way We Talk, since he sings it on the a-ha album.
Maybe Pal and Mags just perform with the rest of the band like they do in the song, Half Way Through the Tour. Them just giving us a instrumental moment.
This would allow Morten to rest his voice so he can perform more songs. Just a thought.

In the end, we know all a-ha fans will be happy with what they do in the end and will always wish for more because us true, long time fans just don’t want it to end.

I do hope that there are plans to release more unreleased studio and demo songs in the future like they did thru RHINO Records website for the remastering of the first two albums. I love hearing demos of early worked versions of songs and songs recorded, but not released.
If this really is it, then open up that music vault and let it all out guys

Thank you again guys for the great music that will always be around.
I look forward to their future solo music and any other projects they work on.

a-ha will always live on forever though the music they made.

Thanks for a fantastic consert. The last one for me. Two hours with all that good music ! Mortens voice was better than ever. My favorites were Butterfly, Hunting high and low, Manhattan skyline and Crying in the rain. I have been to five A-ha conserts here in Oslo. The first one in 1986. The one I will remember most is the outdoor consert in Frognerparken with 100.000 people …that was magic.. and of course my final consert on tuesday :-)

It was the first and the last a-ha concert in Norway for me. I’m so full of impressions and still don’t know how to express them in words…So what to say? It was the most incredible, stunning and brightest show I’ve ever seen!!!

I was at two concerts of the Farewell Tour in Russia, but this one was different, because of this atmosphere of a-ha’s homeland.

I liked all of the songs played, really. And it was a nice suprise – they added The Swing of Things instead of Nonstop July. I love Nonstop July, but I thought “How cool it would be if there were The Swing of Things” in the setlist!” So, it was here in Oslo!!! Acoustic versions of Butterfly and Crying in the Rain also was great, as well as my favotite Bandstand, Forever not yours, Manhattan Skyline and The Blood that Moves the Body. But as I said, all songs are my favorite!

And of course we all sang in the Living Daylights and Hunting High and Low, it was very exciting moment, a moment of unity, as always.

I have a lot of memories of this magical concert, becuase to see a-ha live in Norway was my dream since I was on their concert for the first time in my homecity in 2006. And now when this dream came true all I can say is just THANK YOU!!! Thank you, a-ha, for this splendid sparkling concert, for your music – the best in the world, for the sunlight with witch you lighted up my life and lifes of other people. Thank you for this November night in Oslo and feeling of absolute happiness, I will never forget it.

Here some photos I made, but to be honest I tried to watch more than to take pictures:)

I went to the concert on the 30th. The concert was great, but I thought the audience was a bit down. Maybe they were mourning the A-ha farewell already ;) I can only hope that they were enjoying the music silently while standing still…
Luckily me and my friends had our own little party and we celebrated 25 years of A-ha music singing and dancing along with you.
So thank you guys, for the great music. And I wish you lots of fun with what you’re going to do from now on!

Hi! I was in this concert last November 30. We were living in Hong Kong at that time and we flew especially to see this show…we arrived the same day of the concert, after 16 hours of flight. It was a crazy thing to do, but definitely worth it! I am from Chile, South America, and I was there when they were doing the farewell tour in Santiago, but because of the tremendous earthquake I thought they would cancel the show for good and I then went to the south of my country, and I missed it! So when I knew of the last show, I just convinced my husband (hard work, believe me) and we went to Norway for the first time, and first time -20C!! But he and myself just loved the whole trip. People were so nice, friendly, and humble in a positive way!
About the concert, it was fantastic, I loved everything, but especially when they played just the three, with Magne’s piano, Paul’s guitar and Morten’s voice (Butterfly, Butterfly). Spectacular. Beautiful. And I loved those special moments when everyone was so quiet and you said those thoughtful remarks.
Thank you so much for all these 25 years of poetry, deep feelings and emotions. Thank you for your hard work going everywhere and sharing with us your talents. I really hope you can resolve your differences and from time to time get together and create new music.
I just hoped I could have the chance to have a word with you, maybe next time…
