GLASGOW
Even the youngster in the band has birthdays! There goes another year. Loads of hugs and kisses all around, and a touching birthday chant by the audience. The planned birthday performance by the backing band may have been a little less touching, but drove the point home and goes to show you never can tell.
Who said you cannot enjoy life on the road? Glasgow offered the best Indian high end street food (it may not be street food any more, but you get the point) we have had in ages at the Chakoo Bombay Cafe. Check it out if you get the chance! Not to forget the vegan birthday cake made by our beloved caterers. Also love the fact that the hotel in Glasgow had breakfast dishes with single malt whisky in them. Another reminder to be thankful for and loving your day, in a Karl Oluf kind of way.
Glasgow also got lesson one in Harcoustics. We don’t know when the next lesson will be, but that is part of the fun. And we do, of course, appreciate your company even though you seem to produce low frequencies in stereo. Vibrant audio demons lurking in every dark corner. Speaking of sound, we have borrowed the FOH engineer GG from Glaswegians Simple Minds for this leg, so a big thank you for that!
And you gotta a love a venue called The Armadillo. Beautiful building, and a fantastic place to see a show. Once again filled to the hilt with an extremely welcoming vibe. It has been 3 years since our last visit to Scotland, but even that is too long. Thank you, Glasgow, and see you soon!
