In June 2017 a-ha recorded a live acoustic album during two intimate performances in Giske, Norway. A couple of hundred people were lucky enough to be present on those special nights, one of which was the summer solstice. Released in September 2017 as part of the iconic MTV Unplugged series, the 'Summer Solstice' album and live DVD present a-ha's classic songs with completely new arrangements. 

"We needed to strip every song. We needed to reset everything in order to rediscover the songs, to sort of resurrect them again from nothing," says Morten. Working closely with producer Lars Horntveth, Morten, Magne and Paul "attacked" the songs that have partly become iconic, and put them back together again in a way that fostered new creativity and an entirely new acoustic sound.
